Digitalisation is the most significant force of change in our time, and this is why it is necessary for companies across all industries to digitalise their processes. This also goes for the healthcare system.

Every day the Danish healthcare system exchanges data for hundreds of thousands of people between physicians, hospitals, municipalities, pharmacies and private clinics. These are all connected to the Health Data Network. MedCom, which is owned by the Ministry of Health, Danish Regions and Local Government Denmark, is responsible for this network.

Netic is the operator of the Health Data Network – and other parts of the digital backbone of the Danish healthcare system.

We do this in collaboration with a number of software companies. We work together according to a model that has proven successful for many years.

Security, Compliance and Legal

Systems containing information about public health, are critical. Such systems need to be secured. Not just because it is the done thing, but also because we must and will fulfil the requirements of the authorities in relation to GDPR and data protection.

Netic has worked with critical data for almost our entire lifetime. Therefore, we know what it takes to comply with these requirements and ensure that citizens' health data does not fall into the wrong hands.

This has only become more relevant with the updates included in the General Data Protection Regulation from 2018 concerning processing of personal information.

In case you have any questions about how Netic protects critical information or you want to know more about how Netic can assist you, you are more than welcome to reach out to us.
