JYSK

IT operations and hosting of business-critical e-commerce solution
and stores worldwide with the end customer in focus

JYSK has chosen the Aalborg-based company Netic to host its e-commerce and IT for all JYSK stores. Klaus Dhiin explains why: “We normally conclude hosting contracts for five years at a time. Then, we go out and scan the market. That was when Netic was recommended to us, and we invited them in for a chat. We quickly saw that they had something special. Both in terms of the technical side of things and their way of cooperating.”

To Klaus Dhiin it also made good business sense to choose Netic: “We buy the best solution based on a mix of price and quality. In that light, Netic was the right choice,” says Klaus Dhiin, who was later confirmed in the decision: “We can now see that if we had to choose another provider, it would have to be just like Netic – only at a lower price.”

“We’ve never had to have a “serious talk” at a steering group meeting. Our meetings have always been about all the things that were going so well. Netic tells us that we have outperformed on this parameter and that, and that’s so great, because then we have time to talk about how to perform even better.”

Technical experts who go the extra mile

JYSK not only uses Netic for traditional hosting. Netic is an important advisor to JYSK when it comes to both security and database environments. Klaus Dhiin has the following to say on the collaboration: “We use Netic’s consultants as sounding boards. They are involved in almost everything from firewalls to networks and how best to switch from one type of database to another. It’s important to us that our business-critical IT is in the hands of competent people to ensure that our customers have the best possible experience when shopping with us.

Klaus Dhiin also only has positive things to say about Netic’s handling of the tasks put to them: “Our cooperation is exemplary. We work with competent people who manage to solve any problems and systematise the solutions quickly. With some suppliers, you get ‘happy hackers’ who will do the job, but what then? With Netic, the solution is carried all the way through so that we ensure that we won’t have the same problem again.

No demand is too big

Because JYSK’s IT is so business-critical, JYSK makes heavy demands on its suppliers. But Klaus Dhiin is extremely happy with the way that Netic manages to meet JYSK’s expectations: “Netic has ensured that their solution for our IT setup is completely transparent. They have set up dashboards for us, enabling us to keep track of things in real-time. We actually have access to exactly the same figures as Netic’s consultants have,” says Klaus Dhiin, who has the following take on Netic’s approach: “You really have to be very good to have everything out in the open.”

And this transparency has rubbed off on the cooperation, Klaus Dhiin explains: “Well, two-thirds of all our steering group meetings were cancelled, because we simply didn’t have anything to talk about. We’ve never had to have a “serious talk” at a steering group meeting. Our meetings have always been about all the things that were going so well. Netic tells us that we have outperformed on this parameter and that, and that’s so great, because then we have time to talk about how to perform even better.”

So, Klaus Dhiin does not hesitate when asked whether he believes that the cooperation with Netic could be extended further. “Extend? Great… What do you have for us?” he asks with a smile.

We have added to our relationship a few times, for example by moving more of our servers to Netic. If it makes good sense, and Netic has what it takes, I have no problem extending our cooperation even further.
